Strange Reitaro

Born in Osaka Prefecture, she began her musical career in 1998. She performs at over 150 live shows a year, including festivals across Japan. She also sings for numerous commercials as a vocalist, and has held photo exhibitions, making her a versatile artist.
They released their latest album, "Kimono Reitaro." They also attracted attention for featuring guest appearances by Masaki Suda and others. Their solo concert at Hiyako Open-Air Concert Hall, celebrating their 25th anniversary, sold out. BEYOND held their first tour in five years.

Sarasa

A singer-songwriter from Shonan with a free-thinking and unique perspective, she embraces all genres, including soul, R&B, and rock, captivating listeners with her somewhat languid melodies and melancholic vocals. Influenced by the blues, a genre of music born from sadness and depression, she coined the phrase "Live Bluesy," transforming negative emotions and events into creative and affirmative forms.

In July 2021, they released their debut single "Nail Island" and began their activities in earnest. Just one year after their debut, they performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '22. In December 2022, they released their first album, "Inner Ocean." In addition, their solo live show (star) held at WWW X in Shibuya, Tokyo in December 2023 sold out on the same day.

TENDRE

Taro Kawahara's solo project. Debuting in 2017 with "Red Focus," he has released four albums to date. In addition to writing and producing songs for, and collaborating with, artists such as Chara, Yasuyuki Horigome, Original Love, SIRUP, Tomita Lab, and Benny Sings, his diverse activities include the theme song for the NHK morning information program "Asaichi," narrating a Kewpie commercial, and composing his first live-action drama soundtrack for the drama "Because I'll Forget Everything."

Keiichi Sogabe

Born August 26, 1971. Virgo, blood type AB. Originally from Kagawa Prefecture.
He began his career as a vocalist and guitarist for Sunny Day Service in the early 1990s.
They released their first album, "Young People," in 1995. Their completely new sound, which reinterpreted and reconstructed 1970s Japanese folk/rock in a 1990s style, made a strong impression on listeners.
On Christmas 2001, he made his solo debut with the single "Guitar," which was inspired by the September 11 attacks in New York.
In 2004, he founded his own label, ROSE RECORDS, and began working on an independent/DIY basis.
Since then, in addition to his work with Sunny Day Service and solo work, he has continued to express himself in a variety of forms, including producing, composing music, film and commercial music, writing, and acting.

YeYe



 

Her clear, fresh voice elevates introspective lyrics into a pop sound. Based in Kyoto, she debuted in 2011 with "Asa o Akeredashite, Yoru o Tojiru Made." She not only wrote the lyrics and composed the music, but also self-produced all the instruments on the album, and won the New Blood Award at the CD Shop Awards the following year. She released her second album, " HUE CIRCLE ," in 2013 , and her third album, "Hito," in 2016. The music video for "Yura Yura," a track from her fourth album, " MOTTAINAI ," released in 2017 , has been viewed over 12 million times (as of September 2022 ), garnering extremely high praise both in Japan and overseas. After releasing his fifth album, " 30 " in 2020 , in 2021 he released a series of songs in succession, starting with the collaborative track "Ie o Kau" with Ezaki Fumitake ( WONK ), followed by " No Longer ," a duet with Mitsume vocalist Kawabe Motoi, and "Otona," which was produced by TENDRE and featured rapper BASI ( the music video for the song featured popular dancer yurinasia , which became a hot topic). In 2022 , he released the album "Hamidite ! " , which includes a collaborative song with GingerRoot , which attracted attention from around the world .

  HIMI

With her enveloping words and graceful singing voice, she writes her own lyrics and composes her own music. Her song " Sun is going down " was selected for the official Spotify playlist , attracting attention both in Japan and overseas. In 2022 , she released the EP " KAERIMCHI ."

Tennis coats

Saya (vocals, keys, etc.) and Takashi Ueno (guitar, sax, vocals, etc.) met while they were students and launched the majikick label in 1995, producing early and classic works by themselves and many of their musician friends, and have since gone on to have many successful careers.

Tenniscoats combines Saya and Ueno's simple yet unique melodies with each other's abundant ideas and improvisations. Their collaborative albums with Japanese and international artists also capture the spontaneous musical forms that emerge from each moment. They have also been active in bands such as Pukapuka Brians, Cacoy, Nika Soup & Saya Sauce, oneone, Spirit Fest, and Zayaendo. Ueno has also released numerous solo works.

Since 2020, he has launched and is running the streaming site MinnaKikeru with friends Shinoppeng and Furukawa Motokazu, and has been publishing a wide range of music from Japanese indie artists.

Aoi Yamada and Takamura Tsuki dance and talk.

Aoi Yamada composed the music based on the script by Takamura Tsuki, which was inspired by the land and memories.

A pianist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who is attracting attention in the global jazz scene.
Bryant's wide-ranging, sensitive, and original playing can be heard on albums such as "Dirt... And More Dirt" by Henry Threadgill, "Serenade for Horace" and "Return of the Jazz Communicators" by Louis Hayes, "Synovial Joints" by Steve Coleman, "Of Song" by Marcus Strickland, and "Water and Earth" by Jeremy Pelt, as well as the soundtrack to the film "Leatherheads."

Marty Holoubek (B)

Originally from Adelaide, South Australia, Marty Holoubek is a musician currently based in Tokyo. Developing a passion for music from an early age, he began playing the bass as a teenager and quickly gained a reputation as an accomplished musician. At the age of 21, he moved to the vibrant city of Melbourne, where his artistic talent began to blossom. During his time in Melbourne, he has performed with artists such as Allan Browne, Paul Grabowsky, Scott Tinkler, James Bowers, Clio Renner, and Sex on Toast.

In August 2018, Marty decided to move to Tokyo to further his musical explorations. This bustling metropolis' rich cultural background and dynamic music scene provided the ideal environment for his creativity to flourish. Since arriving in Tokyo, Marty has quickly risen to prominence in the Japanese music scene, performing alongside renowned artists such as Terumasa Hino, Jim O'Rourke, Eiko Ishibashi, ermhoi, Shun Ishiwaka, Takuro Okada, Soji Sakiyama, HIMI, Mami Kakudo, and Answer to Remember. Combining his diverse influences has given him the opportunity to create a unique and compelling sound. Born in Adelaide, raised in Melbourne's music scene, and now firmly rooted in Tokyo's creative hub, Marty Holoubek's music captivates audiences worldwide.

Shun Ishiwaka (Ds)

Born in Hokkaido in 1992. After majoring in percussion at the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music, he graduated from the same university. Upon graduation, he received the Acanthus Music Award and the Doseikai Award.
As a leader project, he leads Answer to Remember, CLNUP4, SMTK, and Songbook Trio, and also participates in numerous live shows and productions by artists such as Quruli, CRCK/LCKS, Kid Fresino, Kimijima Sora, and Millennium Parade.
Recent activities include the presentation of "Sound Mine," a new concert piece by Hosoi Miyu + Ishiwaka Shun + YCAM, at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], with the theme of evoking memories through sound and resonance, and the "Ishiwaka Shun x Asai Nobuyoshi Live Session," a traveling performance set in the former Nagoya Customs Port Dormitory, at Assembridge Nagoya.
His diverse activities include his solo performance in the music video for Yamamoto Seisakusho's 100th anniversary model "OU-Ou," an online special movie for Figaro Japon's new series "Rainbow Time Chapter 15" directed by Tomokazu Yamada, and being selected to provide the music for the documentary film "Architecture, Time and Kazuyo Sejima (director/cinematography Takashi Homma)," about the new building for the Department of Art Science at Osaka University of Arts, designed by world-renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima.
He has also performed with many international artists, including Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jason Moran, Federico Casagrande, Tony Allen, James Francies, John Scofield, Taylor McFerrin, Peter Evans, Fabian Almazan, Linda Oh, Richard Spaven, and Corey King, who have toured Japan.
